135 Tennis Intelligence – What’s in a Name?
In years gone past, you may have known us as “135 Tennis Analytics” — a name that reflected our commitment to providing data insights for coaches, players, and parents. Some may remember us as “GT Stats”. But as our business evolved, so did our purpose. The words “analytics” and “stats” never fully captured what we do, or how we do it.
So we made a deliberate change.
From March, 2025, we’re “135 Tennis Intelligence” – and here’s why that matters.
We’re More Than Data on a Screen
Analytics is a vital tool. But on its own, data has limits. Numbers without context can confuse more than they clarify. Insights without explanation don’t lead to progress.
That’s especially true in tennis.
At 135, we don’t just show you the stats — we help you understand them. We provide analysis, interpretation, context, and education. We work with colleges, academies and coaches to turn data into action — and that’s where real improvement begins.
Why “Intelligence”?
The word “intelligence” was chosen with purpose, and it means two things to us:
1. We Help Build Player & Coach Intelligence
We’re in the business of making players and coaches more intelligent about how they play and how they train. Through the 135 Framework, we create individual player profiles that show how points are constructed – not just how they end. We break the game into phases, reveal patterns, and track development over time.
This helps players understand who they are on court, and helps coaches guide them more effectively.
2. We Provide “Intel” — Real Tactical Information
“Intel” is essentially information – the kind that gives you an edge. That’s exactly what we provide. Our technology and services deliver tactical, relevant, timely information that helps decision-making in training and in matches.
It’s not about abstract theory. It’s about real data that informs real improvement.
Technology Is the Tool – Not the Outcome
Yes, we have industry-leading tech. And yes, we train coaches, academies, and colleges to use it effectively. But the tech is not the destination – it’s the supporting tool that drives a broader process: developing smarter players over time.
We work hand-in-hand with coaches. We design systems that fit each environment. Our reporting is designed to fit the goals of the player and the team, not just the format of the platform.
135 Tennis Intelligence Reflects Who We Are Now
Our name now reflects what we’ve always aimed to be: An organization that delivers clarity, context, and competitive advantage through intelligent tennis insight.
We’re proud of where we started. But we’re even more excited about where we’re going – and who we’re helping get there.
